Mr. Gorthy holds a degree of Bachelor of Technology from National Institute of Technology, Warangal and has done his Post Graduate Diploma in Management from Indian Institute of Management Kolkata.

Over the years, he has worked as Director of Deutsche bank AG, Distressed Assets Group in Hong Kong and Singapore from 2005 to 2009 and Partner and Managing Director of Pacific Alliance Group Investment Management HK Limited from 2009 to 2014.

His present assignment as Senior Portfolio Manager and Director of GL Advisors HK Limited part of Avenue Capital Group makes him responsible for Fund Management focused on distressed debt, high yield credit, private debt and special situations in India and rest of Asia.
