The pandemic affected us on three different scales in India; at a national, state and local level. As a responsible member of corporate India, we are stakeholders at each of these scales. At a national and state level the crisis was primarily affecting food security, adequate health care and economic stability. Our response to this crisis at a national level was a contribution of Rs. 1 Crore to the PM Cares Fund out of which our 260 employees voluntarily contributed Rs. 7 Lakh from their monthly salary.

Environmental Sustainability
Installation of a Rooftop Solar Power Plant of 7 kwp at Anudatt Vidyalaya, a school for slum children located at Kandivli, Mumbai which would give the school considerable saving in cost of electricity. The inauguration was done at the hands of District Governor, Rtn. Harjit Singh Talwar on February 29, 2020. The school conducts three batches of classes in English , Hindi and Marathi medium for 500 students.

Arcil continued to support weekly health check-up camps treating almost 300 patients every month through an Implementation Agency, Nishta Foundation, for the villagers of Chandwa, Latehar near Ranchi. The support was extended from 2016 to November 2019.

Environmental Sustainability
Post commissioning of the Solid Waste Management Unit at Bandra Terminus on World Environment Day, June 5, 2019, Arcil undertook its maintenance and upkeep through Sampurn(e)arth Environment Solutions, the Implementation Agency which had conducted the study on Waste Management. Two staff and a supervisor from the Agency were deployed at the unit for daily segregation and processing of waste received from BMC and the Railways for compost.

Empanelled doctor services were commenced at the Andheri, Malad and Kandavali shelters of Salaam Baalak Trust Mumbai for health check-ups every alternate week at each of the shelters for the care and well-being of 150 shelter children. Arcil also continued to support Health Insurance for the shelter staff and their dependents for next three years. The support was extended from January 2019 to March 2022.
